SPRING
SPRING
Spring has arrived, it is here.
Winter has passed, we can cheer!
This primaveral time of the year.
Spring is here.
Spring has sprung from the ground.
Daffodils’ and bluebells abound.
That dawn chorus. Oh! Such a sound.
Spring is here.
A robin shows off her red breast.
Whilst she builds and feathers her nest.
A male fly’s by….he’s impressed.
Spring is here.
The snowdrops they carpet the floor.
They glisten in sunlight…Je t’adore!
Every year there seems more and more.
Spring is here.
The first signs of buzzing from bees.
Woodpeckers are drumming the trees.
And a buzzard soars high, in the breeze.
Spring is here.
The hedgehogs and dormice still sleep.
With dried leaves, piled up in a heap.
Their eyes fixed tight. Not a peep.
Spring is here.
New lambs in the fields. They all play.
Whilst the March hares are boxing away.
They all frolick and dance through the day.
Spring is here.
Buds on shrubs are sprouting new shoots.
A crab apple exposes its fruits.
The hikers stop to clean off their boots.
Spring is here.
The angry oceans, now feel, more at ease.
Harsh sunlight reflects from the seas.
That salty crisp smell, makes you sneeze.
Spring is here.
