This World

This world of ours, could be fabulous, if our leaders were humane.
Instead it’s run by morons, some of whom are quite insane!
Total corruption and deceit, at the very heart of power.
No one party is to blame, they’re all a total shower.
Our government would tell you, that we need to all work more.
Whilst they squander all our taxes and antagonise the poor.
They deliberate and contemplate and feed us filthy lies.
“The monies gone!” “It’s a vast black hole!” “Your taxes need to rise!”
Our world leaders are just figure heads, they’re just puppets on a string.
Controlled and run by the ‘anti-Christ’, who lurks and hides within.
In the corridors of power, the wheels turn round and round.
Planning new conspiracies, far from underground.
They open borders to everyone and watch the population swell!
God forbid, if you’re a Veteran, who has served his country well!
They tell us, we can identify as many different things.
A cat, a mouse, a farmyard goat, and other crazy things.
Normality has gone now. Our world grows steadily bad.
Pronouns, instead of Mr? Are they completely mad?
There’s trouble in the Middle – East, we need to get involved.
A peace keeping force is soon dispatched. Do you think the problems solved?
They invest billions into exploring space, the Moon and planet Mars.
To populate a brand new world, should we ‘F$£K’ this world of ours!
Our leaders will destroy this planet, with wars of religion and hate.
They tell us ‘ethnic cleansing’ is inhumane, and we must retaliate.
Forces sent to far off lands, whose leaders rule by fear.
Our media report to us. But are the facts quite clear?
Be careful what you say now. Be careful how you speak.
Don’t talk about religion, or the Wuhan virus leak.
The ‘thought’ police are watching, as you ‘tweet’ and press the key.
They will bang you up for months on end, and throw away the key.
This world of ours is crap right now, everything feels so unjust.
Fake news at every turn. We don’t know who to trust.
With ‘World War Three’ around the corner, our Earth could turn to ash!
They’ll blame everything on climate change. That will raise some cash?
The threat to our existence, has never been this near.
I hope and pray our leaders think, so we can all be here next year!
